Equipping both hands?
« on: August 25, 2008, 06:05:26 pm »

So yea, newbie here.

So after dieing countless times in Adventure Mode, I finally start to get the hang of it. So my new hero gets ambushed by a bunch of wolves, and my axe gets stuck in one of them. My hero then beats that rest of the wolves to death with his shield and I pick up my axe, but when I equip it, he equips it in the same hand as his shield...

So yea, anyone else have this problem, or am I just missing something?

Never mind. I guess the game just had a little glitch or something, or my dwarf was just messing with me  :P lol

There's an edit button to the right of your posts.  Please try and use that rather then tripleposting...
As for your problem, I suggest dropping/removing the shield, equipping the axe, then re-equipping the shield.  The axe will go to the right hand (not literally on the right, as handedness is randomized but it doesn't tell you which one) and the shield will go in the other.  Well, maybe the shield will go to the same hand.  But in either case, the axe should still work correctly if it's equipped first.

And I'll keep that in mind in the future.
