I'd like to request the Armorsmith, with the name Goose.

The dwarven economy is just a stand-in, from what I understand. As it is, it represents an actual economic system about as well as poison ivy represents a salad.

Well, I'm back in town, but I'm in the middle of moving right now, so my computer is all boxed up.  If things go well, I should be able to play some more next week.

I did some experiments before I had to leave town.  If you can get your population up to 80+ before you cull the herd, you will qualify for sieges.  Forever.  Being faced with a full siege situation with only 7 dwarves is a pretty novel experience.  I don't think that it is winnable without extreme trap exploitation.  It would make for an interesting engineer's challenge, but a poor soldier's challenge.  It's something to keep in mind for people who want an extreme Terrorforming game.

Starting out without any food or drink is actually a viable challenge, and is really fun.  It is just barely possible to gather enough wood, seeds, and meat to avoid losing people to attrition, but securing the outdoors long enough to do this is very dangerous.  I'm tempted to "reboot" the game and start fresh under these new and very exciting conditions.  We'll see when I'm settled into my new place.

Also, I'll finally get off of my ass and upload the maps to the database so everyone can experiment with the scenario.

I hope that my OoC style isn't putting too many people off.  I'm just not interested in writing fanfiction, and wouldn't be very good at it if I tried.

Bump. I want to take a look at this save pretty bad; the military aspect of DF mode has always been my favorite, but I've never really been able to get a sufficient challenge out of this. With the save of this fortress, however, I think it would be very, very fun.

Also, seeing your write-ups and comparing how things work out for you compared to me would be rather fun. So, I hope you upload the save soon!

Last shot for a bump. I'd really like to see a save of this place, but I don't want to divert attention from other, more active threads.
