I vote for job priorities, designate a safe area, and improve the morale system.

the old Guild Masters thread is now a discussion on guild politics, economics etc.

I restarted the old discussion in Return of the Guilds - Guild Masters

Sorry for the temper tantrum. I wish we had mods.

I've reestablished the link.

Interesting.  By page 5 of the original "Top3 suggestions" thread, way back when, the top suggestions had 20+ votes each.  People seem to be less monolithic in their desires for improvements now.

I think I'll let this thread run a bit more to really distinguish the top votes from lower ones, then start up round 2.

There is a good chance that the first set actually killed a number of really common gripes (IE mass dump for one). So now that we don't all have the same problem, people are coming forward with new ideas. I for one was worried last set about the shear overwhelming shift towards a few entries. Come to think of it, UD didn't even make a 1st round pick. It ended up being the #1 on the poll.

edit: after looking, it was a distant third in the last round!

Didn't the first few polls do an initial assess phase, and then only take the top 10 vote getters for the official poll?  (AKA when you set up the poll, anything that didn't get 3 votes in the prelims doesn't get added to it).  All the people dropping new suggestions would them be pushed into the core.

First, sorry for my English.
Second, I suggest:
1. Add ability fill up empty spaces with stone or sand or sometng else, e.g. wrong mined or rebuilded. I know that i can build wall but it not aesthetic sometimes.
2. Improve tempreture influense. Freezing liquid in barrels, rotten food. Depends of altitude. And improve water freezing in pools and rivers. Non-freezing bottom levels. Multilevel rivers and pools.
It seems strange when murky pool under roof will freeze but chanel mined around not.
3. Add steam engine working on coal or/and magma

I'm going to name the above:

1) Different materials/quality for rewalling (sandbag walls, etc)
2) More pervasive temperature (burn trees, melt ice walls, temperature damage to items)
3) Steam power

zagibu would be the definitive voice for how it was run, but as a spectator it appeared to me that the top three of the first round were set aside, and round 2 began. The top 3 of round 2 were set aside (with the 3 from the first round, so six), and finally the top 4 from the last round were added in to make an even 10. I suggested UD in the first round, but not the 2nd...I got distracted  ::) and it didn't get picked until the last.

Just trying to say you'll never know what will be picked as the top choices. Right know more detailed religion has one vote. But it might be the #1 choice of the final poll. What PoH needs is a nifty thread ;)

My votes (and a few reasons) are:

1. Job Priorities
    - This would make it a lot easier to manage my dwarves, without having to go through each one saying "Don't haul stone, don't engrave, do haul refuse..."
2. Tabbed Filters and string search for all selection screens (stocks, units, etc)
    - Then I could finally work out how much armor/weapons I have for my military, and see how much more of each kind I need to make
3. Bring Back Guildmasters to fill requested "special abilities" (prospecting, zoom to dead, etc)
    - This just sounds fun :D

1. Editing to damage types open
The ability to edit/create new damage types like BURN and to edit the messages generated from different hits.

2. Fixing creatures when smelted or created with itemcorpse
Who here doesn't want to smelt cows? ;D And it would be cool to create some sort of avatar that could raise from a creature on death.

3. Ability to buy sand from merchants
A real merchant would sell anything that was profitable to him, (excepting those strange things like body parts) so why can't he sell bags of sand?
