You could say they were not fully awake for the first turn, and let them join in on the second, OR do it in the spirit of this thread and make a roll for if they sleep through it.

I'll do that, but problems arise if I roll for it because I don't know what to do if they wake up. So I'll just skip them since this is filling up way too slow.

When attacking, if you get a 6 (overshot), then the dodging person gets -1 to dodge. This has to be a stated attack. For instance, if someone gets a 6 and makes a ladder explode, nobody will get -1 to dodge because it was a secondary effect of an action.

Also, being tied down gives you a -1 to dodging.

I push my legs into the ground, attempting to uproot the tree. (will be fun if I roll a 6 and the tree's a sequoia.. )

I break off a piece of the tree, rubbing it against the rest of the tree in an attempt to start a fire to burn through the rope.

3. You only manage to break off a piece of bark.

I sing a song about flowers and rainbows to charm the elves.

5. You sing a song and another elf comes to untie you.

NPC Actions!
Elf A tries to stab Poltifar with a tranquilizer dart.
4. The elf stabs at him.
Dodge roll!
4-1=3. Poltifar gets scratched by the dart. He feels sleepy.

Elf B tries to untie qwertyuiopas.
5. Qwertyuiopas' ropes fall to the ground. The elf returns to his business.

Elf C tries to untie Cyx.
6! Cyx's ropes get untied so fast they fling around and wrap around the elf's arms.
Dodge roll!
6! The elf knocks the ropes away and they hit a tree, wrapping around its branches. The rope hangs down almost to the ground.

Elf D and Elf E both continue to do nothing.

If the C elf isn't as naked and weaponless as I, I try to bluff him into coming behind a tree by pretending there's some cute little thing hiding there.
If he is, I just sit down in the foetus position and cover my neck with my hands, to preserve both my decency and my life.

Here's my action if I can switch: I use my mighty dwarven powers of seduction to convince one of the female elves to release me.

I use the raw brutal power of "Hulk SMASH!!" to snap the ropes tying me to the tree. (is it true that a snapped rope can slice someone in half? I think Mythbusters did an episode on that...)
