This kid owns you
« on: August 24, 2008, 10:25:46 am »

One of my dwarves, Iton Rulmistem, is a child.

He went into a fey mood...
And created Angendalzat, the Fair Match, a Tower-cap bracelet... that has a weight of 1 and a base value of 80400!!! How great is that?

I didnt' even know children could go into moods lol.

Build a Trade Depot anywhere on the map.  now hold Shift+D (Depot access display) while viewing a Z-level that has been completely untouched by miners.  All 'normal' stone areas will have big red D's all over them.  Any area with *any* sort of site feature will be blank (no D's).

Who is Led Patternships?

Come to think of it, which graphics pack are you using?

I want to see one going into a fell mood.
Infact, one of my babies is unhappy, it lost its father in tragedy lately, possible candidate?

Babies can't get moods.
And that screenshot doesn't seem right.
Normally there's a REASON for there to be an engraving of a specific dwarf.

You must have the "show all history" thing turned on.

No, I know that.

It could just be a dwarf the kid was related to/friends with. Or possibly having 'show all history' disabled removes history displays on the artifacts as well as engravings..

*shrug* It's somewhat common for dwarfs to engrave images of legendary dwarfs, sometimes even themselves (GOD, my engraver is vain  :P).  They will also commonly engrave images of an ascention to mayordom.  I have three freakin masterpiece engravings of a damn election.  They must've really, really disliked the previous mayor.  Guess he was just better suited for mining in the end.

Children are just as likely to go into moods as adults, (technically more likely, since there are almost always less children, but it's exceptionally rare to run a fortress without at least one getting moody)

Darn teenagers! can't leave 'em alone for 2 years without them going through that phase where they lock themselves up in a small room, without human contact or sustainance, with a piece of bone, trying to weed out their intricate problems....
