[40a] Window size too large
« on: August 21, 2008, 05:56:52 pm »

I'm not sure if I can do a good job of explaining this, but I'll try.

I just downloaded the Mike Mayday tileset version, ran it and the window size was far larger than my screen. I checked init.txt, and the windowed size there is 640x300, while my screen resolution is 1280x800.

Also part of the problem: on the main menu, I can only see the text that's at the top of the screen, with the menu controls, "Visit Bay12 Games", that stuff. The menu is still there, because I can select the different options. Then, when I go to generate a world, I can see maybe the bottom third of the screen, but the rest of the window is still the same size.

Any help appreciated!

There's another entry for window size when you use graphics:

[GRAPHICS_WINDOWEDX:<x>]
[GRAPHICS_WINDOWEDY:<y>]

That one probably isn't 640x300 for that set, but I don't know the numbers offhand.

That set uses 16x16. So, to pick a new resolution, figure out how many tiles you want, then multiply the tiles by 16 to get the new resolution for each dimension.

EG,

800x480
50x30
