Sorry if this has already been asked but a search didn't turn up anything on the first page so I thought I'd ask.

Is there any difference to the take down and throw actions? I was hoping that throw would allow me to move the people I'm fighting but it seems to do the same thing ><

EDIT: Hmm, I managed to make a human child explode by throwing him repeatedly. I'll see if this happens with take down~

Guess: Throw does damage/stuns them while take downs don't? Maybe take downs are easier too then~

Essentially what you said.  A take down just puts them on the ground, for the most part, while throwing does that, as well as stun and damage if you have high enough strength.

Supposedly with throw and a good skill level and strength, you can get the thrown person to fly a bit. I've found throws tend ot leave them prone for longer, too.

Well with what I assume is the strongest an elf can get and legendary + 3 wrestling, my elf has failed to do more than stun people and somehow kill a single child with a throw. Ah well, stunning is useful~

Forget throwing the people! Throw coins at the people! Much more effective.

And as they say in Dwarf Fortress. Why give the trader a stack of coins for an item if you can give him one coin for all of his items?

Throwing works for actually moving someone, however, that isn't very likely unless you are playing a modded in huge megatitan. I think your size affects how far you can throw things, not your strength. That's a pretty uninformed guess though.

Interestingly enough when I installed the martial arts mod my tigerman managed to throw a human into a child. Hmmm.
