I knew elves were stupid, but this?

I trade with the elves for golden salve in a barrel. I immediately try to sell this to the elves, who say "Once a beautiful tree, and now? It is a rude bauble, fit ony for your kind."

It's probably because the barrel was made of wood.  Those damn hypocrites got pissy at seeing wood turned into a perfectly good container and not an absolutely worthless wooden sword.

I guess your guys rubbed off the "Made In HappyLand" logo before trying to sell it back.  Somebody should catch a hammer for that.
