40a - more (different) display issues

When genning a world, the world title (The Cyclopean Universe) and the kill-switch icons (enter and space to stop generation) flickered on and off; On even years, they were visible, on odd years, they were not.
Also, the word "space" continued on at the end of the screen - parts of it were obscured by new texts, which disappeared without problem, but some persisted to the main menu.
ALSO, I set [WINDOWED:yes] in the init file, yet it still acts like [WINDOWED:PROMPT].

All caps for your WINDOWED problem
Lowercase in raws isn't registered for anything except [NAME:etc]

I have my own issue to add: When scrolling individual tiles for designation and the like, the X persists.  Only happens for undiscovered tiles and clears when the actual display shifts to a new location.

I've got that "X" problem too, I hope Toady fixes it soon. It's quite annoying.

Hi!

I have a similar flicker issue in world gen:

During world gen, everything is alright. However, when I export the world data and world map ('p' before confirming the world using 'RETURN'), I get flickering of the screen after the export is finished. I am not 100% sure, but it seems to mix in parts of the complete map which it previously showed for a split second at the end of export.

Fortunately, that bug does not seem to have any other effect.

Settings are full-screen and default size.
