FreeBSD ia32 (32 bit)? no.

No slowdown at all? That's rather stunning. I have a tendency to get slowdowns of 33-50% when running Dwarf Fortress under Wine.

I wonder, would you happen to know Korean? I have a page that I would like translated into Korean. For some reason, Koreans tend to run across the page on base64, but I'm not sure if they can understand it.

I compile *everything* from scratch on freeBSD with the most aggressive optimizations each will compile correctly with, and compile specifically for the core in my system. In short, fBSD is screaming fast on my system, but it takes about a week of solid compiling to get it up and running that way.

I may be the only DF-addict who works at NASA. [doh, someone else claimed to be a Rocket Scientist at NASA (I am suspect because there are surprisingly few rocket scientists!)]

A muddy spot in my yard made me want to plant some seeds.
I enjoy watching the trash-dwarves haul away my refuse.

As a matter of fact... You're not. I hail from the enchanted city of Trondheim. However, I know a few DF fans over here, so I think there are quite a few "dorfies" flying around our greatly small country. Must be because we invented dwarves, fantasy-wise.

I was going to say how fantastically unique I am, but then I got to writing and I got kinda shocked at how boring I really am. I gotta go wrestle some alligators now.

Oh, yeah, I was born on the 4th of July. But I hate Tom Cruise.

Maybe I'm the only one who has two of the same nobles?
My first House Ber representative has gone insane after injury. Now the second one has arrived with the immigrants while the first still walks around wounded and naked, babbling and drooling.

Those darn Ber opportunists!

Well shucks. Seems there are more of us. Well, then I'm the only one from here, which is like Russia version 0.1
In case anyone wants to work against that one, too, then I'm the only one from there that is a texan and a math major.

Hmm.  I speak fluent japanese, and I play spacemarines...Crimson fists, from the cover of rogue trader, which I bought and fell in love with at the tender age of twelve.  For the glory of the emperor!
As far as unique, I dunno what I've got.  I think I have three chances...
1) anyone else hosting a webpage about japan? (not anime, JAPAN japan.)
2) anyone else here able to speak spanish english and japanese? (although my spanish has really gotten crappy over the last 4 years living in japan.)
3) (this is the one i think will win) anyone else here chatting on IM with in japanese with a coworker whose login name is "gero gero flog" (in romaji, not hiragana) about their company going bankrupt while posting this reply?

I think I have a fair shot with number 3.  but it might be cheating.

I may be the only one who works for a Humane association...?

If not, then I'm reasonably certain that I'm the only one here who is currently writing a game involving all three of the following: a power-mad computer, the Sumerian creation myth, and the end of modern civilisation.
