If I've got microline, I don't give a fuck about getting adamantine, I just want that teal color :)

That's a problem with the current system for wounds, at the moment.  All creatures will suffer 'phantom pain' from lost limbs and such, even well after the wound has occurred.  The problem is most likely the missing eye, and you cannot do much about it unless you use a utility, such as Companion, to heal the missing eye.

It's a shame you couldn't assign it to pump work... and toughen it up.  Probably would require some sort of treadmill... There's an idea!  Let's see if the all knowing Toady can creat an animal tread mill!  Then we can assign (otherwise) useless animals to a treadmill, and make it power our creations!

That's what DF needs, The gutbuster brigade.  Screw that elf and his cat. Thibbledorf Pwent is the real hero.

Without it I'd have no chance at trying to make a sunset mosaic, though really I hardly find ANY microline anymore.

In my current fortress, it's literally everywhere. Most of it in the diorite, I think. Might be worth a try.

i considerd building a fortress where i am just allowed to dig out the area surrounding the starway if it's of a non standard stone type. like limestone microline. etc. To have a more cave like atomsphere, spike walls etc. I am so excited about the possibility for underground caverns in later versions. (my 5 cents of a more diverse undergound)

No matter what colour they start out, they always end up red!

Noble: Why, what a lovely room; such exquisite carvings, and lovely furniture.  But what, pray tell, are all these small holes in the floor?
Urist: Ah, they're for...um...drainage.  Yes, drainage, that's what it was.  Anyway, sleep tight.
(Urist closes the door.  A faint click is heard)
Noble: What's that sound?  Let's see ... hmmm ... definitely a lever there ... and a couple of mechanisms ... well well, a repeating lever ... and I do believe that's an upright sp...... (SPLAT!)

In a fat-fingered moment while setting up another military squad I accidentally created a captain of the guard rather than a militia captain.  His squad of near-legendary hammerdwarves equipped with high quality silver hammers then took it upon themselves to dispense justice to all the mandate breakers in the fortress.  It was quite messy.

So, I got three (count 'em, three) dragons in the nine years of my recent fortress.  The first two were male, so I didn't pay much attention, but the third one was female, and that's when I got interested in trying to breed them.

They're all caged and tame.  I took the dragons and put them into my arena put, from which they cannot escape.  They don't do much, moving around only occasionally (as opposed to dogs and cats, which move *all* *the* *dwarfin'* *time*).  After a year, no babies.

So I put some restraints into the arena, all right next to eachother, and chained the dragons up.  I also edited the creature_standard.txt file, adding this line to the dragon entry:
   [CHILD:1][CHILDNAME:baby dragon:baby dragons]

It's been another year, and still no breeding.  Not sure if this is because they don't breed, or because changes to the creature_standard.txt file don't apply after world gen.

Also, you can manufacture vomit at a smelter.  Subsequently removing the smelter spews vomit over a surprising area.

I'm fairly sure that it only takes effect after world gen, sorry
