Can anyone see anything in there that I should change? Also, any suggestions for my next project? Maybe I could add some of the specific breeds, so instead of war dogs you could bring some good ol' Rottweilers or Golden Retrievers.

I'm pretty sure I've already saw a mod with different types of dogs so you may use search.
On topic... Try to add [SPEED:700] and [NARROW] for flavor =).

Thanks. Also, how do I make it so I can bring them upon embark? It won't let me, I have even tried genning a new world and transferring the whole thing to the text file with dogs and horses and such.

Also, do you think a 1:12 damage counter for a piranhas bite attack is too high? Is a 6:6 for a chew attack too high also, because I added both?

Depends. 1:12 is usually considered really high. Damage scales with size (I think), which is why an elephant or dragon can wreck up your fortress with 1:6. 6:6 is reasonable if you want a consistently strong attack.

I want piranhas to be able to deal a TON of damage, enough to like gnaw a leg off or something.

As far as I know, 1:12 will blow your dwarves into pieces small enough to fit in a thimble.
