7th of granite
it seems i have underestimated the carp threat. vabok wood worker was struck down while cutting a tree, his stuff is lost to us

marksdwarves have been ordered to patrol the top of the wall, hopefully they will destroy the carp with no casualties
With new construction in progress, i will have time to check on the well-being of my fellow dwarves, especially the gem cutter
it seems many are idle, and actually want to do "more work"

8th of granite
more minor redesign and construction is underway, dwaves have recently complained of vomiting outside. I will make them vomit inside.

9th of granite
the baron could arrive within 2 more waves of immigrants, I have arranged for a lavish shopping mall to be built.

10th of granite
I have setup much of the new construction, and now have time to pursue more frivilous pursuits. "the woman" has enlightened me about the virtues of new clothes. I don't mean a new dress to party in, she is litterally dress in rags. I don't know what my predecessors were thinking, but certainly could have the nobles clothes to wear while in the legendary dining room...

14th of granite:
the elves have arrived, I inquired with "the woman" and stukos vultrasoman as to our means to kill them, but it appears we have nothing setup. Both seemed interested, but the proposed crazy machine using hatches and dogs seemed, well, unworkable.

15th of granite
I look contemptously upon the elves wooden goods, inferior to all dwarven weapons and armour, even silver! Once i consider the lack of clothing for our people, i am reminded of the virtues of trade.

17th of granite
I stroll throught the brewery and kitchen to give out work papers. Apparently saying "cook lots of food" and "brew me stuff" does not motivate them.

20th of granite
work has begun on a platform above the carp, if we can't shoot them from the platform then we will collapse it.

22d of granite
while arranging floor grates to make a fishing spot, a worker foolishly place a floor tile before its support was in place, a cavein resulted "by the water no less!" but no casualties suffered, and nobody even got wet.

25th of granite
new work has begun to clear out the shopping mall, with easy access to both finished goods piles and of course, centrally located near the shoppers.

26th of granite
goden medtobek has claimed a craftdwarves workshop

28th of granite
'ushat merkuri': we have struck sapphire!(in the bauxite)

29th of granite
it is a sad day. A child has wandered into the fishing construction and a carp drowned him.

30th of granite
some soldiers have complained of long duty requirements, i took them off so they can practice their respective (assinged) military professions.

1st of slate
the artifact has recently been completed,

it depicts previous victories over the goblins, a fine trophy.
work has begun on a new line of low-cut dresses.

3rd of slate
my golden sarcophagus runs into production snags, we don't have any gold bars read!.

10th of slate
not much happens, at least nothing i notice of worth, too busy managing the smelters and furnace, making beds, processing and giving orders and somesuch(the artifact has my near full attention)
the woodburner works fulltime now, he is virtually the only person requisitioned for a single purpose.

20th of slate
the baron, hammerer, tax collector, consort and such have arrived, we are now a barony
due to a bed shortage from lack of carpenters, i have decomissioned inactive quaters

21st of slate
as the wave keeps arriving, (over 20 immigrants!)

the count and countess are thrilled.

23d-24th of slate
a metalcrafter has fallen in the water during immigration...
he has at the very least given a fish a spinal wound. The time of my reign has doubled the number of casualties, and greatly increased our wealth and population
this does not bode well for the next goblin siege.
construction of walls around the light chutes have progressed slowly.
the squads have yet to be reorganized, but at the very least, a swordsman has arrived to bolster the ranks.
if we fight a dragon we will be sorely outmatched. A titan will loose his limbs quickly however[severonbreak].

25 of slate
a kitten has been butchered

26 of slate
the count has mandated "bismuth" items
the royal guard has been populated with nervous injury soldiers

28th of slate
due to a distinct lack of bismuth ore, i am unable to make bismuth bars
if 4 bismuth bronze bars don't supply it, he will be sorely dissapointed.

i think i used it for "the womans" coffin, though the problem is that i wanted to fill my room with solid gold statues as well...

the save is up, and i don't have time to record what i experianced on here.

WHOOT! Getting started right away, hopefully I get lucky and don't have any ambushes or sieges until my project is done.

Edit: Nevermind the siege-kill-lever project. Also, MICROLINE! FINALLY! I *NEVER* find Microline :)

3 artifacts were produced
the fort rose to nearly 1m value
i built myself a very fancy tomb in yellow basalt
the baron arrived, and promptly rose to count from the excessive immigration.

the count demands freaking bismuth items, and must be killed off by any means necessary

we have more workers than i can actually use.

fishing through grates was established, zone only fishing

the carp were eliminated

the "watery grave" was built to stop future carp, but it does jack squat, and won't acutally be usefull unless changed.... perhaps if the water is redirected back into the river?

a dragon was easily defeated. he flamed 3 dogs and slagged 2 sections of road, but we got off real cheap compared to the war on carp.

my tactics:stationing meelee hidden/out of the dragons reach while the marksdwarves get some free shots, the dragon was then quickly wrestled to death by the huge squads of wrestlers trained for ages.

the traffic area around the water has been changed slightly, but still needs work

the "watery grave" is in use to train recruits in swimming(one of them won't stop spamming me with "store owned item" in the river so...)

food is our new primary export, the shopping malls require tons of goods

no coins were minted, and should never be.

the human diplomat really scared me by just "popping in"

the elves are poed at our tree-cutting rate.

a huge stockpile of cloth/leather needs a dedicated tailor or something, the woman needs more clothing items because she's wearing all x and X items.

we have access to all 3 types of iron ore.

i made a huge stockpile of steel bars

we made toad bone greaves at a forge(possession unfortunately)

no goblins came

the dwarves dug  anti cave-adaption tunnels into two main staircases.

i failed to off the count with my shcemes

we also struck platinum in the magnetite, i fully mined it out.

made a long term preparation for the queen, a sweet sweet room that will make any noble jealous(no seriously, the count might off himself, an important factor, if only he wasn't ecastic while homeless)

botched the construction of a huge underground cistern

never completed the original training grounds, not enough rainwater/mechanisms

made a goblin execution range, with safety hatches.

personally named a jewlerr "eerr cutta"
personally rose to semi noble status because jewlers do jack squat.(i'm not in a position to make mandates)

set the wood furnace man to only burn wood, hes the only specialized laborer short of the woman
we still don't get enough charcoal!

arranged for pump supplies to be made(used in the "watery grave")

i lost about 10 dwarves, 4 babies 1 recruit, 3 woodcutters, 1 miner, and 1 engraver
nobody specially named though

monom was the first named person to make a masterpiece and also to rise to legendary

the dining halls still need upgrades

accidentally smoothed the temple of gravel

built tons of beds

built a shopping mall!

arranged native gold statues for the nobles

My dwarf went legendary? Awesome. Now I don't have to worry about the economy being activated.  ;D

Userpay's is in a mood. And I made the swordmaster my avatar, so no economic worries for me.
