Well I'm level 10 now and I've been doing the episode's quests, I think I did only very few ones outside of it.
I did one in Ceres and when I looked into my quest log it said something like "your level is too low for this quest, so your rewards will be less", it annoyed me that the game didn't ask me if I would accept these conditions, so I kind of fear now doing quests other than the first "main storyline" when exploring around.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. You can re-play them later on - rewards' levels are based on your rank (e.g. lieutenant, lieutenant commander, commander, captain, etc) when you play or re-play that mission, and you should always be able to re-play missions to get the rewards again (also to get a different reward out of the choose-one-of-these rewards some missions have).

Oh, thank you for the tip, didn't know that. That's a nice system to have, heh.

Ok so Gabeux joined the fleet.
Apparently he's not much of a talker right now.

Heh. Yeah, my dude is (was? Dunno if it's timed out or whatever, s'been a few months) a dwarf-critter, too. Wait 'till you hit DS9. Stand beside the lizard ambassador and... think on it for a few seconds. Kukuku.

I made an alien, made him 100% human looking, except as short and stocky as possible and used some Klingon style beard, so it looks pretty much like a dwarf. I didn't like the "dwarf" default race, it's like really ugly pig looking thing.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I'm playing now. I'll see if I can't get into the fleet.

EDIT: Okay, I can't mail anyone yet, and I can't find the fleet in the fleet list, so someone just throw me an invite: Sarek@facekillz058

Oh sorry for that Anklyon, in the member list it showed only two people.

I like the idea that we can have starbase and stuff. Makes me want to get people on the fleet.

I also like the Duty Officer Assignments, even though I only have the starter officers and maybe three more that I got from the exchange..
Makes me remember the Assassins' Creed guild missions, it feels like a cool minigame.

So I just bought lifetime in this, which is awesome btw, and I started playing around in the Foundry.

Anyone else use this? Any tips for a new mission maker?

Afraid not. I haven't touched the foundry yet. Are you part of our fleet? if your not, I can pop on when the server is back up and invite you into it.

I didn't use the mission maker but from what  i know you can't make branching paths in it so treying to make it look like the player has choice usually ends up looking awkward.

Sadly no real tips from me because i'm just about as creative as a bag of bricks.

I've been away from STO due to a lot of other games that I managed to take off my wishlist and watchlist  :P
Will get back to it soon tho, gotta get to 50 so I can play with everyone else.

I wouldn't mind joining the fleet. I'm probably a bit on-off with STO though.
