I second this motion!

Speaking of elves, I exchanged their bow with wands I created (leaving the humans to skulk with the common bow) which shoot orbs, and gave them staffs to train their hammer skill (I didn't think a wand would be like a sword, strangely enough I ended up using the same stats for a sword for my staff, lol).

I'm currently thinking of adding better armor to compensate for their all-wood and all-cloth equipment.

New Elf Slogan: "So, you think our reverence for mother earth makes our armor half as good as yours?  Not after EuchreJack gave us new armor!"

I want this too. The names got to be so awful that it'll be great, especially because I'm a Finn.

It just now occurred to me that the English translations will still be left. First I thought you translated the Elvish to Finnish. Either way, I want it.

I had Swedish for a time. Still i lost the files in a update a few months back... or maybe they are still on my linux machine...

So, er, not content with merely have wild wagons roaming the plains...

Wagon Fortress.

... I've not fixed the issue where they all claim major injuries upon embarkation, but I think I remember seeing a post somewhere on this forum about it. :P

ANYWAY.

The very best bit is that when you use the racegloss:wood thing on them, they get job titles like (my current embarkation group):
Kivish Eshtankeskal, Mango Tree Stoneworker
Tekkud Koloslan, Ash Jeweller
Rigoth Alathilrom, Candlenut Fisherwagon
Likot Kansazir, Feather Tree Miner
Lokum Eshtanerar, Glumprong Fish Cleaner

And the wood-related professions just sound ludicrously specific:
Feb Fikodkeskal, Palm Woodworker
Stakud Daklorbam, Alder Woodcutter

Heh. Okay, okay, I'll post the language files when they're halfway ready and working properly. They only have about 200 words each at the moment and I'm going through at the moment trying to fix the diacretic marks and such. And add entirely too many languages. And figure out what part of the language_SYM file I missed that is causing it to name geographical features things like "The Green" and "Of Mists"... But I will have files for Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish. Can you tell I'm a linguistics dork much? :P

Firstly, the language files sound awesome. :P

Secondly, though I know it's a bug, I quite like the odd names - some things don't always translate properly, especially with geography. :)

A few trees to some habitats, such as Baobabs and Red Maples.

A whole bumload of plants, many of them lichens that only grow in specific habitats VERY slowly... A total of 1/2 of them all fungi.

Various types of spiders with different habitats and behaviors.

Magma now have Fire Imps which reproduce (I have had a few implsplosions drop my FPS into the toilet), Bomb Crags which have killed whole fortresses, and Giant Fireflies as magma chamber air support.  Also, 'Glass Slugs' a vermin that leave a silicaceous slime that counts as silk but has properties of glass.

Golems as a race.  They come in winter.

All sorts of rock layers like Carbonatite and such.  Gems including Cambrian Fossils, Pyritized Fossils, Fossilized Dinosaur Bones, Brachipod Fossils, Chrinoid Fossils, Stromatolites, and Ediacaran Fauna Fossils.  Also, Herkimer Diamonds.  Many others.

Recolored almost all stones and sediments in the game.  The result is eye-burning, which I love.

Colored Sands, of all sorts of colors.  Also, removed all non-sand soils.

Glass Beds.

Back in 2D, I made an elephant demon. It started at size 20, but I kept making the damn thing bigger up to 40, then added firebreath and extra tusks and better attacks.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

I'm tweaking my copy of DFCP (DF Complete). I just fixed a tiny problem: giant wasps wrestling with their wings. Made them have 2NONLIMBWINGS.

Oh, and anyone who has elephant/mammoth trunks might want to check for conflicts with Treant / Ent trunks.

I modded in a civ of dwarf killer cyborgs that sieged on the first year and came armed with miniguns. Their corpses were made out of alien metal that had its own reaction tree when mixed with existent metals.
