I added a bunch of random taunts from Team Fortress 2 to my game. Now whenever I try to go on a rampage I get told things like:
Quote
I'm gonna strangle you with your own frilly training bra!
.

It's most fun.

The Doomsdog. A minor edit of a standard dog that added a tail, upped swim speed to 8000, and changed body size to 13. I've yet to test it. I'm afraid of that will happen once I train and unleash it.

Counter-intuitively, you want to lower swim speed.  The higher speed something has in the raws, the more slowly it moves.

Also, make sure you give it a bludgeon attack that uses the tail.

Adding in the Tail whip. What exactly to the two numbers after the attack verb name mean?

That's the attack power first is the minimum, second is the maximum.  1:6 is typical for bites, 1:2 is typical for punches etc.  Little to nothing exceeds 6 on the maximum.  Also note that creature size modifies this,  Elephants do all the damage they do with 1:2 damage.

I lack originality but I added:

Half Dragon civ
Felpurr civ (Wizardry 6-8) *commented out
Orc civs
Behemoths/Chocobos (Final Fantasy)
Grass Assassins (Phantasy Star)
Varah (Phantasy Star Universe) *removed
Stirge (D&D  Think bat mosquitoes.  Attack in swarms of 20)
Flaming/frozen ghost (experiments in temperature warfare)
Red/Blue/white/gold dragons (D&D)
High temperature version of GCS and Giant desert scorps.

And a honorable mention for the only creature I almost got working but crashed the game on death;
Bomb (Final Fantasy)

Dragon Civ - with claw/crossbows that shoot poles.

You should rig them up to shoot swedes too.  :P

When I made it: I was like: I like swords, I like crossbows, and I like hammers,
so why don't I make a swordbow that shoots hammers?

I turned the damage to 2000 for laughs.

I made a fairly simple 'Goblin Fortress' mod in the last 2d version while we were waiting for the 3d version.

I modded in orcs. They were bad news if your civ was at war with them. I had a fort that had to withstand sieges almost every season, with pretty much no migrants (home civ was nearly dead.)

Aside from that, I messed with ethics tags a bit so goblins will go to war more often (they eat people now), and elves a little less often (they don't eat people now). I can't wait till we can start wars on our own, though.

I'm pretty sure gobbo's always ate people. I've seen humans in vanilla DF warring with gobbos because of consuming sentient beings.

Okay... let's see...

-I made all my favorite indoor plants grow every season
-I made dwarves so they don't sleep. Food and drink are necessary, but beds are in low demand (only need some in barracks for healing/sparring)
-I also made dwarves super fire resistant and gave them a couple other perks (example: noexert)
-I made it so that making bituminous coal into coal doesn't actually involve bituminous coal at all. I simply deleted the reagent... and made it give me 15 coals instead of 3
-I made a metal, called dragonite, which is almost 2x as valuable as adamantine, 25x better for attacking and 100x better for defending than iron is (can't have dwarves getting HURT during sparring, now can we? :P) oh yes and it is produced out of nothing at a rate of 25 bars per reaction.

I'm also working on making guns, but for some reason marksdwarves won't stock their quivers with bullets or even train with them

I changed humans to wizards, goblins to dragons, kobolds to cats, elves to hippos and dwarves to whales. I convinced myself that all these changes were caused by the wizards getting angry and bored with the other races.

This mod made me double over in laughter when I imagined my hammerwhale moving about. He had a dress, a helmet and PANTS on him.

I proceeded to whack other whales to death with my tail and then jumped off 1-level cliff. This turned out to be a re-enactment of a part of Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy because his great weight caused him to violently blow apart.
