[39e] Abandoned fort in Adventure Mode Blocked Off
« on: August 05, 2008, 08:45:47 pm »

I attempted to visit an abandoned fort in adventure mode and came upon an odd sight. There was a sheer wall of stone blocking my way, and it was completely unnatural. No erosion at all. It continued in a completely straight path for quite a ways, and after that there was a sheer drop of several z-levels to what I imagine to be the actual fort mode site. Continuing on, I found that my site was completely inaccessible. There was either a sheer drop or and invisible wall that wouldn't allow me to walk past it (even with alt-moving)

Note that this fort has been around and updated for several versions.

EDIT: After quite awhile of journeying around the invisible wall, I found a way into the site. Very odd bug.

If the world has existed before 39a, it's part of the compat problems I mentioned at that release.  The mid-level maps changed a lot, and I couldn't quite salvage them, though it does a bit to try.

Ah, alright. I figured that that had something to do with it. Thanks for the clarification.
