Resume history generation
« on: August 05, 2008, 03:36:00 am »

I read a post in the 'cool things' thread in the general discussion that got me thinking. History seeds (on the same world seed) always produce the same history. That means if you generate a world, read the legends, then generate again and start at an earlier year, you could effectively alter history.

So, how about a way to continue world gen (or rather, history gen) once we played? Play an adventurer, play a fortress for a couple of years, get bored, let time run for another decade or two, then play again?

Hello!

Well, the feature you are describing has actually been suggested by several people before and there are a lot of people strongly supporting it.

Yes! I've always wanted something like this. To be able to see the actions of your adventuring 10 years down the line would be brilliant.
