I have this awesome fortress going, it's got magma, HFS, an underground river...

And I haven't seen any civs other than dorfs yet. I created a copy of the world and abandoned the fortress to see what the deal was, and it says it's human-accessible(not elves, but who cares). Any ideas? I have some adamantium artifacts but the guys have yet to show up. Is it just chance that they haven't shown?

How long has it been?  Also, try trading a bit more with your fellow dwarves.  High merchant profit may lure the humies to your location.
