"Glass and burnin" in a fey mood?
« on: August 01, 2008, 05:01:44 am »

OK, so I have a child who's having a fey moment.  At first glance, I have everything she wants:

She sketches pictures of a quarry?                   Yup.  Plenty o' rocks...  it's a mine for Armok's sake!
And sketches pictures of a forest?                    Got plenty of them elf-hugging sticks too.
Lastly, sketches pictures of glass and burnin?     Well...  there's both clear- and green-glass blocks...

But what the hell is burnin??  I assume it's a burning something 'r other?  Burning elves?  What burning thing goes with glass?  Hmmm...  burning dwarves?   Burning sand?  ???

Ideas anyone?

GAAH!  Stupid me.  Thanks, Deon.

I also only just remembered I could TAB through the menu modes so I could read the whole text without bits being cut off.  /me dumb today.   :-[

Probably "glass and burning wood", meaning clear glass. Crystal glass is "rough gems and glass", and green glass is simply "glass".
The wiki has an (almost) complete list of dwarven "code-names" for different materials organised by mood (perhaps not very relevant now, but Eater of Vermin's crazy dwarf would have been in a secretive mood, not fey).
