Moddable season length

Please add the ability like in init to set the length of time for seasons.

Currently a lot of longer-term things like babies and families aren't feasible for a regular playthrough since a baby takes around 12 years to mature and most average fortress games last 3-5 years. It would also help if you want to do a quick exciting game but don't have hours and hours to sit around playing. Modders would be able to fix side-effects of this change manually by setting things like the speed and sleeping habits of creatures in the raws.

Seriously, it would take you maybe an hour to do and would be a really helpful change for people that want to change the dynamic of the game.

Seconded. I'd LOVE to speed the game up when I've got building projects underway and/or a baby running around.

Bump since this was posted while toady was on break.

To note: This wouldn't make the game run faster, merely decrease the amount of turns that need to pass before a season change.

There are moddables already in the raw to re-balance the game around this change, unit speed, sleep, etc. It would make the game run at a quicker timeline, making things like migrants, sieges, and children come around faster. Or in the case of the latter, give them a pont.
