Dwarf Sketches
« on: June 08, 2008, 04:16:00 am »

I've been sketching some armour for a Dwarf, and I'd thought I'd share my results with everyone.

One complaint, the limbs are a bit long and it makes him look more like a 11 year old boy than a dwarf.

As you journey to the center of the world, feel free to read the death announcements of those dwarves that suffer your neglect.

One billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the cosmos. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips, I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my veins. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk and free throw.

Watch out.  If you critique someone, SirPenguin will bite you.  Also I imagined that dwarf as a two foot tall dwarven child.  Makes more sense that way.

Yeah, his legs are a little long for the Dwarven build.

Perhaps he's been drinking some sort of elixir?

Obviously he's a really short elf disguised as a dwarf.

I can't sign up for any image hosting... hense why I can't post any pictures.

I am not an amazing artist mind you... in fact I am pretty bad at it... but I do love to draw.

Ps. Topic creator, never lose your love of drawing no matter how much people critisize... Since the ones who do usually insult you are the ones who probably never tried to draw either. (Generally speaking most people who insult what I draw are people who never draw, the only other person is me brother but he is tough critic anyhow)

Tinypic.com provides image hosting with no registration and no questions asked.  It's what I use all the time.

Yes.  Because truly all artwork is flawless and beyond any possible improvement.

The thing is, artists will generally try to help somebody with their work. All artists know the frustration with their work.

Except for Assholes. They will produce masterpieces and make you feel like crap. But keep working, because everybody can reconize a jerk and respond to them accordingly.

Sorry but I don't know what you are saying.  Mind being clearer?  Who are artists helping with their work?  How can you recognize a jerk?  How do you respond to one?

Just saying that the inital comment by Neonivek about always drawing. People who bash artists usually are not artists themselves are are jerks. Artists will generally try to help other artists(Including ones much less skilled than them) because they can relate. Frustration is involved in art.

Thanks to logic, we know when hostility is necessary. When hostility is given out beyong the point that it can help, we know something is wrong.
Thus assholes.
