Is it possible to mod the game to make adamantine pits spawn with greater frequency or outside of their normal spawn points?

I believe there is a way to make adamantine spawn as normal veins, but then you won't have any of the fun in the hidden stuff.

Simply make a new adamantine that is exactly the same as your other adamantine and make it spawn in normal veins. You'll still have the hidden fun stuff and you'll have more adamantine.

The best part is you won't know which adamantine has the pits and which ones don't.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

When did we get on this "HFS is the pits" crap?  HFS is stuff like the messages we got in 2D when we scrolled well past the playable area.

Because losing is fun, don'tchaknow? And it's even more fun when you're a newbie and manage to both find adamantine and not get it spoiled by the people making not so subtle references to the fun stuff and adamantine in the same context. Or, at least, that's the logic of the half of the people who, theoretically, aren't accidentally spoiling it for people.

The best thing you could do is make raw adamantine a rock layer. Imagine carving an entire fortress out of the stuff...

Somehow reading this makes me feel that all is right with the world.

I felt it was an accurate description of DF modding in general.

"Now, we can't make constructed walls engraveable, and we can't change the critical chance of crossbow bolts.  But here, have a plump helmet anvil."
