Winamp.  9k songs, and the media keys on this laptop make it easy to switch songs.  Dual-core means I can also run cpu-intensive songs without slowing DF down.

I find General MIDI Spanish/Nylon Guitars to be very soothing, so I too listen to the DF theme(s) during play, if anything.
Plus; my records, speakers and turntable are in another room.
Plus; Don Cab, while awesome, doesn't really fit Delivering the Stockpile Items at 138 Frames Per Minute.

Maybe one day I'll mod in some hefty MIDI themes from other sources, but I don't feel my sanity being punished quite yet.



Related(?): Has anyone bothered to transcribe any of the music from DF? Knowing it would be a boon to my efforts to wind up the girlfriend, but it seems so "rubato" I haven't been able to pick most of it out.

IIRC, Toady played it.  He might be able to give you tabulature.

I have to listen to my ipod as well. What I listen to is pretty random, a shuffle of 800 songs.

My AMD Athlon 2000+ can't handle DF and iTunes at the same time.

I was going to say something about the ChairmanPoo's.... image, but I was beaten to it.

I like how Torak has One Track Lover in his folder with all of that metal'n'such.

Lately I've been listening to Hammers of Misfortune while playing DF, Trot Out the Dead matches my playstyle quite well.
