Memory offset to relationship data?
« on: July 26, 2008, 03:24:01 pm »

I've been poking around with a process hex editor but I can't seem to identify the location where relationships are specified.  I know where mother/father is, but I'm referring to friends / passing acquaintances and such.

Has anyone managed to find this?  I was thinking I'd be able to find it just by finding a part of memory that references all the dwarf ID's, because I figured it'd have to be stored as some sort of table.  While I did find such a place, I don't see anything that could be relationship info.

thanks

I haven't looked at it, but I recommend using something like IDA Pro (free works fine). Then do a text search and search for "Grudge" or "Acquaintence" or whatever; wait the 5-10 minutes to complete and start analyzing from there. I'd do it, but I don't have the time right now, I have other projects I'm working on.
