I'm forted up in a Haunted mountain range with a chasm, cave river, HFS, and magma pool.  In the top left there is a forest tile and in the bottom right there is a forest tile but 90% of the area is Haunted Mountain. There are however no zombie or undead anythings. Well, I have found one undead sapling.  What's the deal? I have gotten raided by dark gnomes but every bit of wildlife (besides the chasm critters) is wilderness. Gazelles, warthogs, jaguars, lions. et. al.

I have a dark gnome artifact door! I just wish it was a zombie dark gnome artifact door.

Bone... i dont think the dark gnomes are butcherable, so no leather.

Have you breached the chasm yet?

From what I've seen, evil biomes either have undead mundane creatures, or evil mythical creatures.

The chasm started half-breached; my fortress is basically built into it. There is also a cave river and magma pool, they are both unbreached.

I haven't seen any mythical creatures unless you count the dark gnomes.

should i submit a bug report?

In the haunted area I played in, it took a few months before the undead assaulted my fortress. (Lithrushsazir)

My current fortress sounds much the same. According to the embark screen, it's mostly haunted mountain with a section of heavily forested wilderness off to the east over a brook. I'm in winter in my second year and the sole "monsters" sighted so far are some hoary marmots and a couple of mountain goats a migrant hunter has shot. No evildoers on the population screen either.

The embark screen claimed there was a chasm and underground river but I've yet to find either - I saw someone had mentioned breaching these but surely there should be some evil types in the mountains before hand? Or even just Urist McSpooky running around the hilltops with a sheet over his head going "WoooOOOooOOooOOOOoooOOO!"
