So my mayor has a pretty spiffy quarters set aside for her. 4x5 Dining room, 4x5 office, 5x5 bedroom... It's not quite "decent" yet, like she wants... But I'm working on it.

Then a little yellow text comes up saying, "Mayor has made a new demand!"

She wanted a BED in her DINING ROOM. Why? As far as I know, requests are usually for statues or decoration of some sort. Why on earth would a dwarf request a bed in her dining room when she has a perfectly good one in her bedroom? :\

Seems like a bit of a bug to me. A bed bug. Teehee...

Probably not a bug per se.  Check her profile, she probably has a predilection for beds.

I had a Dungeon Master demand a platinum door for his dining room.  I happened to have platinum on that map, so I gave it to him.  Later I melted it back down     I've seen other post with similar demands going back to at least 38c.  I don't think it's a bug, or at least it's less buggy than demading glass on a map with no sand

In 38c, my mayor wanted a lead door. I diddn't feel like it so I hooked up a drowning mechanism to his room and all of a sudden he diddnt want it anymore

I was under the impression that demands more asked for decorative items, or at least items that can be made out of items she likes. For instance, she's also demanding a rose gold throne in her bedroom. Which is funny, because we have no rose gold that I can find yet.

Beds are wood only, though, so it doesn't make much sense to demand one. :x I dunno.

Rose gold doesn't occur naturally, it's an alloy of gold and copper.

You could always do what I do and have her bedroom, dining room, and tomb all cover the same room.  That way it's already in her dining room.

I had a tax collector with a platinum fetish. He damanded a platinum chest and then a cabinet and when I looked at the tomb I had made him it was STUFFED with platinum goblets, the platinum goblets I was planning to sell to buy more platinum >_>

I also like the image that it is unlikey my tax collector would fit in my tomb with all those goblets around and I suspect that my dwarves would probably throw him to the wolves anyway due to his work towards empoverishing my realm.
