Modding question: Glass
« on: September 10, 2007, 12:49:00 am »

I've run a search through several of the sections, and checked through the wiki, and haven't found an answer about making different colors of glass through modding. I've tried a few things already; from making a matgloss_glass file to adding the [glass] tag to other gems in the gem file, messing with creatures and stones, and I can't think of much else to do to edit this stuff.

Anyone have any better luck on this than I've had?

Funny thing about magic, it doesn't consistently go either way.

I don't know if there is a way to edit glass yet. There are still several things that Toady has said are handled entirely within the code that he wants to eventually get into modifiable text files, but hasn't had the chance to yet.

Yeah, class is still hard-coded unfortunately.  The new reactions file is a step closer to getting class in the raws, but it only works for the smelter right now.
