Design Question
« on: July 24, 2008, 04:30:41 pm »

I'm in the process of completing a statue to my great dwarven empire, and one of the monuments i had in mind uses a raised drawbridge as a floodgate and i was just wondering if it would work.

Aye, raised bridges act as walls. However, building destroyers can, well, destroy them.

Lowered bridges hold water as well, thus providing a removable floor for either drainage or traps.

I haven't tried it with a raising bridge yet, however, but I find the idea of flinging huge amounts of water across the map to be a bit dubious. Simple retracting bridges work fine as a floor for a water reservoir, however.
