[39c]Prickle berries in cage
« on: July 24, 2008, 06:37:32 am »

I'm not sure how it happened, but it was same time as wave of dark forces breached through my trap zone and... go out through another one without going down by the stairs. There were few captives in cages, and one cage with 3 pieces of prickle berry. They were grown outside and goblins passed the field on the way.
How they could get into cage?
How to take them out?

Dwarves will feed creatures in cages as part of taming them.  Have you tamed any creatures lately?

To get them out, try designating the berries for dumping.

Oh, yes! Thank you. It isn't a bug, so post could be deleted.

Also have another thing with cages. It could be already reported, but I didn't found it:

Urist cancells realesing creature: need free cage  x3
(doesn't remember exactly how it was originally)

The "needs free cage" cancellation generally occurs when you're trying to free an animal that isn't tame, afaik.

To get them out, try designating the berries for dumping.

If they're leftovers from a meal, it seems to me the dwarves ought to gather them up, same as with dining hall seeds.
