It just had one problem. Who’s was it? The mystery was so great I decided that I would never figure it out. It was empty now, so I’ve decided to make it my own and claim myself master mystery solver! People were impressed. Except this one dwarf with a massive chin who kept making unsettling ‘imma cut you’ hand gestures at me. Must be jealous of my prowess.

I was accosted in my room by the chin dwarf. I don't know what he wants, but he was raging about 'mystery' and 'room'. Hm. The mystery temple must be his relatives. I'll give it back, for now. He was carrying an sword.

I have a few observations. First, the place is a mess. This goes without saying, really. However, the place seems to be able to operate on its own. This is good. I'll try and improve it.

And the levers. Oh God, the levers. Every time I find one unlabeled, it's like finding a shiny apple. It could be delicious, or rotten to the core, and I'm just terrified to pull them. I probably will anyway.

Regardless, I believe I've worked out the dimensions of my giant middle finger. I just need to decide a material. I'll have to check the stocks, but I'm thinking gold.

The fingernail absolutely needs to be a different color. I don't know how you're going to build it, but it's good to know where the front is. Then use the 3D visualizer. What was it called again? Visual Fortress? Something like that.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

12th Granite, Early Spring

Elves have arrived, presumably hoping to be robbed by us. I guess that makes sense. Wouldn't want to disappoint them.

Though I am curious as to where the lever to raise the main drawbridge is.

19th Granite, Early Spring

Will spring never end? I have taken to wandering the fortress and have made some startling discoveries about our military.

Heroes indeed. One almost threw up on me.

The elven diplomat met with the king. I'm overseer, so I made the decision, but they don't know that. I cannot believe elven insolence.

The... the... I told them to fuck off and cleared out their caravan. That'll teach them to speak to m- the king like that!

But they took it well and left with an insult.

Elven blood will stain the ground, oh yes.

Work on my finger of 'A really pissed of Armok' is not what I expected. There is no mountain, it must be built on the ground. It is also far too small. However, it will be a sufficiently large finger to get the message across, I feel.

27th Granite, Early Spring

I've taken up wrestling. Not because I actually want to join the military, but because I hear legendary dwarves don't have to pay for things and I feel I can hack it. Though the weapons those dwarves wield...

Still, I'll be fine. I have 'powers'.

(I am aware I won't be able to quit the military upon reaching legendary, yes.)

Just... just... motherfucker.

Computer crashed, save file corrupted.

God dammit.

The Eternal Halls bested me. I invite the person who called after me to try, if he wishes.

I'm going to go cry in a corner for being a quitter and for it crashing just as I was capping off the middle finger with gold.

I invite the next person to remake the finger, better, bigger, eviler.

Oh for the love of Armok, this damn fortress really is cursed!  For the first time months somebody actually tries to play it, and the damn thing up and dies on you.  Who wants to take a whack at it this time?  If nobody else does by Friday, I'll probably give it a shot.
