I have no objection to someone jumping the gun, but just to make sure, that link in cave king's post is the latest save right?  Don't want to cause a temporal paradox.

It's 6:30AM and technically Monday, and I am dead tired.  I'll take a quick look to maek sure the save works, them I'm gonna crash.  Be warned, it took me four days to take my turn in Sedil Zalis, but with no new version to eat my time, this should go quicker.

Be back in quite a few hours.  And Antlia, your son will take up arms to avenge you!  If this apparently cursed fortress doesn't claim him too...

:o :o :o

I was never a superstitious person before, but it just HAS to be the region13 folder!  :P

My prediction is that there will be a lone farmer founder remaining.  That will be the last to kick it.  Someone should probably set that dwarf to dedicated farming, if they're not already!

Just one question. How do I put screenshots in my report?

You can take screenshots by alt+print screen. That saves it to the clipboard.

Then you can save (and crop if you wish) the screenshot by pasting it into a program like photoshop or whatever you use to work with images.

After you've saved the file as a jpeg. You upload the photos to a place like Image Shack, which is the one I use.

Once uploaded you get the code from image shack and paste it right in the text field here wherever you want your image to appear.  The code would be something like
Code: [Select]

No, it doesn't work. When I copy the screenshot in Paint, it shows out as black.

Hm, I just tried it in paint and it worked for me.  Make sure the window you are running DF in is active, the one selected.  Then hit alt+print screen.  Then you should be able to control+v it into paint.

If that doesn't work for you, I don't know what to tell you other than maybe try a different program.  Or maybe just use print screen button without alt, so that it captures your whole screen.  Then you'd just have to do more cropping.

Now it works! My problem was that I always took the screeshots in fullscreen.

Yeah, printscreen by itself works in fullscreen, but alt-printscreen might screw up.  It's weird like that.

I use windowed mode for screenshots just because there is less distortion.  It's roughly square tiles there, instead of maybe 1:2 horizontal to vertical ratio in fullscreen.

So far as I know, that's correct.

Yes, yes, I'm doing it right now.  I work nights, so my useful day starts at 2-3 and ends at 10.

Oh and that hill is a eyesore, i will remove soon enough.

That will was in the perfect position to become the main bulwark of the fortress' defenses! Right there flanking the main entry way, with the potential to have ballista, catapults and fortifications covering every possible firing arc  >:(

There was enough room in there to house the main barracks and a sizable ammunition stockpile.

Put me on the list. I shall rebuild that "eyesore of a hill" into a true defensive Citadel in which entire goblin civilizations will fall before. It will be a bastion of defensive works that will last through the ages.

Although judging by my potential spot, some one will probably beat me to it.

Fortresses start to get really interesting after the first round of turns is done.

I agree!  It was an interesting feature in that regard.

Anyway, ok, I'll add you to the end of the list.
