Hey, uh Aqizzar, I decided to play the latest save, and somehow you suffocated in the meeting hall. Your body was just there while everyone else partied.

Oh, also, sign me up for a turn.

Everything looks fine.  Must taken a bad hit while sparring.  Since he's Legendary in Shield it probably won't reproduce.  Yet somehow he's only 'Tough' - I guess he's a glass cannon.

If I could make one suggestion Antlia - make a new meeting hall.  With 40ish idlers at any one time, it's damn crowded in there.

Wait, how does that deal with suffocation? Check Cave King's save, maybe you took a bad hit in the lungs, but that's the only explanation I can think of.

I did check the save.  Aqizzar is in the middle of drinking, completely unwounded.  Bad sparring can occasionally break a neck, spine, brain, or throat, possibly making the dwarf stop breathing.

Also if he sparred with a wrestler, he could just get choked.

It happens pretty commonly actually.

But he was in the meeting hall...

Anyways, you don't need to make another. The dwarves are only using about half of it. Build doors in the half-assed entry-ways that are there and you can expand to maximum size.

Antlias: I like the way that you got another dwarf with your name into the mix.  It's a good and interesting storyline! :D

Yeah: let's try not to flood the halls...the pumping involved to try to get the space back would be insurmountable!  ;D

But possible, so long as whoever flooded it thought to forbid all the exits.

Otherwise, since the cave river is on the level with most of the map, you end up flooding the whole world.

Whee! I'm next! YAAAAY.

Lessee... I really don't see why stockpiles are necessary. Let's see what happens when we go a year without them!

Also, I'm going to make sure we don't have any annoying pets running around with my new invention- by putting random spikes all over the fortress and paving the rest with cage traps, pets will get wounded, pass out, and get trapped. Tada!

But spike traps don't have IFF, so you'll have dead/caged dwarves everywhere too.

Oh, for some reason, as of Cave King's save, there is no butcher or tanner's workshops, so all those animals you have are pretty much worthless. Except for the Giant Jaguar after I added the "Trainable" tag.

"Oh well..."

(P.S. No panic attacks. I'm not serious)

I've decided to put these things as an upgrade into the things-to-do list.

- Activate the marksdwarf squad. If we already have it, I must order it to train.
- Make a new meeting hall. The curret is too crowded.
- Do some exploratory mining. It would be good for us to get some ore.

Also, can anyone say where the magma is? I can't find it but I remember that Antlia died digging in it. If I can find magma, then:
- Set up magma-based metal industry to make ammunition and weapons.

Just hit F3, it's hotlinked to the forges.  The lower smith is set to only work for certain dwarves (should probably just be changed to allow by skill level) to guarantee only skilled workers get in there, and not the Dungeon Master.

And you have to pry the marksdwarves out of the siege-safety squad.  No biggy.
