Starting Equipment List

I'm in the middle of equiping my  dwarves for the great journey, and... well.. that's not that easy.


is a "Filter" feature in future plans ?
( the ability to type "seed" to see only the seeds displayed , for example )

or  a "search" one on the  core/req/bloat  list ; as I'm not 100% certain it isn't there  after having looked myself.

Newbie point :  I still haven't understood  yet the  usefullness of  pets .  I bet they help  Dwarves to keep morale up, but I don't know if there's more.

You already can filter the list by typing something to filter for.  It'll narrow it down as you type.

The main effect of pets is on morale, though cats can kill vermin that eat your food and dogs can be trained.  Training some of the other animals is for the future (like an elephant you tame after cage trapping it).

I REALLY like the idea of a hammer wielding dwarf riding into combat on an elephant as he commands his war dogs.   :cool:

what's the difference between a wardog and a hunting dog?

is there anyway to decouple the link between wardog/hunting dog and their owners?

I think the link currently has a pet-like strength.  I imagine reassignments would be allowed as soon as you can start taking pets away from their owners and sending them to the chopping block.
