A few strange bugs
« on: July 23, 2002, 04:30:00 am »

1) If you delete an adjunct body part, you'd expect it to delete it from any tracts it appears in.  Not only does it do that, but it also removes any adjunct with its number from any tract.  This is not good.  For instance, if you remove the first finger from a foot, it will also remove the heart from the circulatory tract and the brain from the nervous system, because they are also labeled "1".  DenimSk8r ran into this one very heavily -- for one of his creatures, he removed all of the toes.  This caused all of his tracts to be cleared out.  Subsequently, his poor beast immediately died, since its brain was not recognized.

I'll post a fix for this soon.  It should have killed off the humans too, but it just made them...  weird.  For instance, instead of having a lower spine, the current humans that you all have regard the entire lower body as fulfilling that role in the nervous system.  It might make them more susceptible to injuring.  I'm not really sure.

So for now, don't delete adjuncts unless you want to fix up tracts.

2) If you use the "Make Random Creature" option, some of the tracts have extra connections.  This isn't really a big deal, but I'll need to fix it at some point.
