I have never heard a more epic tale.

That story just made Ben-Hur look like a bad 70s wire-fu movie.

O_O

That was probably the coolest thing I've ever read about Dwarf Fortress. Loved the airborne battle of the gods.

I expected to die, what I did NOT expect was for my own sock to bash my chest in. Sheez these megabeasts are strong.

One time I was going around a human town in the middle of the night killing guards and shopkeepers in their sleep, also I was searching for a particular legendary bowman who killed just about 5 of my previous adventurers.

Well anyway sometime in there I ran into a diplomats house and proceded to cut him up with my sword, then I got too sure of myself and grabed him to do some wacky finishing move.

Instead he woke up, knocked me out and tore me apart slowly bare handed.

After he killed me he went right back to bed like nothing ever happened.

I recruited an incredibly huge band of militia of all sorts from all the towns, retreats, fortresses I could find. A band of goblins, elves, humans, dwarves, and all my other custom races joined forces to slay a god.

Really? My would-be companions refuse to join you after my party reached a certain mass. Some rot about sharing glory or somesuch.

Just checked the death sentence in Legends:

"In the early summer of 1052, Warosp died in the heat in the Pointy Jungle"

Man, I'm starting to really regret committing suicide. That is so lame. Died in the "heat"? It sounds like I fainted from heat exhaustion.

Actually to me that phrase sounds too much like "in heat" as in "in season"

The more you kill, the more famous you become. The more famous you are, the more you can recruit.

I don't think you can get 50 guys to follow you around (I never tried), but 20 is easy.
