I have it.  Never was much into pick-up online gaming, and none of my friends really got on board.  Was still pretty good though.

Bought it ages ago. Back before I had a freaking DVD drive. So I have the CD version. With 6 disks.

One helluva pain to install, but a great game. I play the original UT more often, though, 'cause I can just stick the whole game on a flash drive and copy it onto any computer, anywhere and play it. Great at schools and libraries!

EDIT: This makes me think we should set up a game sometime and all get together.

MORE EDIT: I bought the original UT at Best Buy for, and I'm not joking, $3. Best deal ever. Too bad software 'bargain bins' have all but disappeared from stores. What'd they do with all those games? I'm picturing an Indiana Jones style warehouse somewhere, just endless stacks of old copies of 'Generic Deer Hunting Game 3: Turbo Extreme Edition' and soforth.

Hey, I'd love to play a game on that land-train map with a group of people actually eager to do the objectives and not just lightning snipe from the jump platform.  Any of the objective maps actually.

I have UT and UT2K4.  I mostly played Red Orchestra mod for UT2K4 though, so now that I have Ostfront I don't need those ten gigabytes or whatever installed on my hard drive.  I really liked Defense Alliance mod for UT, but the sequel for 2K4 didn't come out until just before UT3 and it wasn't Co-Op anymore but competitive team based instead.  Lame.  Sky Pirates and Troopers were pretty cool mods too.  I don't really like the original 2K4 game play all that much though.

I have it, but the soul reason is for my fortnightly LAN parties. We haven't played it as often lately. BF2, DOTA and C&C3 Kanes wraith are my new LAN games. The amount of UT2004 played started to decline when we found out the updated BF2 has bots.

I would play it more if my internet connection wasn't capped.

DOTA

Every time I forget, someone mentions it...  Will it ever leave my troubled mind?

What the hell is DOTA?

Anyways,I'm seeing a discouraging amount of 'no's up there,I do entice the public to buy this thing when they have the spare cash.

I've got the demo, if that counts...  I also found out the console command to add more bots into the game.  Hello 64-player mayhem!  Man, you should've seen it...  That's the kind of number that game was made for, oh it was beautiful.

Don't think I ever played online though, funnily enough.

Anyways, did anybody notice the soundtrack?  The composer is Michiel van den Bos, a man I have respected ever since his incredible work on the Age of Wonders soundtrack.

I have it. And the soundtrack. And a T-shirt saying I was a semi-finalist in WCG for UT2k4 (where I learned the word 'humility'). I also have around 6gb of mods. And the CD version.

Yeah. Big UT fanatic. I hate the new UT3 though. Disgusting thing.

SHADOWdump: Defense of the Ancients. Super popular (I dunno why) Warcraft 3 scenario map. And I mean SUPER popular.

I should look that up,anyway,the demo?Pft...
Your probably better off with the full version, that way you can get into the REAL thing that makes UT great, mods.

Seriously,don't bother with stock gameplay.

I have actually played DOTA. Once.
NEVER AGAIN.
It takes ages before you can do anything in that map. I don't want to rip open old wounds, so if you want a description, read the wikipedia article.

On another note, I used to have a UT 2004. Its somewhere around here, but I lost it.
