I have a tendency to kill everyone, especially all those goddamn panicked ones. The only ones that weren't panicked were all happily sitting in a corner oblivious to the Zeds and Mushroom Clouds.

And a question, to get on topic what is any of your Zombie Survival plans?

Really depends on the type. Shambling low-infection easy-kill zombies can easily be taken care of by any sort of melee weapon. The fast ones that need a headshot to die and will turn you into a zombie with the merest touch or drop of blood would probably require a bunker with geothermal energy powering lights for underground farms.

You can make gunpowder from poop, though. You need trees to make potash, and mix that with manure to make KNO3; sewers also harbor anaerobic bacteria that produce hydrogen sulfide, which you can refine with the Claus process to make sulfur. And then you mix them and get gunpowder. You could probably also mine out nearby mineral veins or send out remotely controlled robotic scavengers to gather metal for bullets, etc.

I was just gonna take a trip to the Local Marine base, along with it's nifty airport there and wait until they evac me and everybody else to a safer place.

In the case I cannot do that, raid the Big 5 that is about a mile from my house, take 1 of those bolt-action rifles or a lever action, gather my friends and live in the Mojave Desert. Then again, I need a lot of food and water...

This thread just won't stay dead will it? Appropriate I suppose...

I would rent a boat and set sail for the nearest island resort. As long as any initial outbreaks are quickly dealt with, it would be quite safe.

From this thread, I learned that video cameras have a dangerosity of 60 kiloswords per second.  Thanks again, Mad Max.

Video cameras. Remember, 60k+ swords per second. Or just hide on an island near the Lake Superior coast. Because a houseboat there would be more dangerous than the zeds.

Anyway. "The pen is mightier than the sword" doesn't equate to "1 word = 1 sword"; I would estimate that a pen could write perhaps hundreds of thousands of words in a lifetime, or even more, making a video camera worth less than one sword a second. Obviously a gun would be better.

1 word is roughly equal to a sword, a bit more though. A picture is worth a thousand words and a camera has around 60 frames per second.

The burden of proof is on you, not me.
