Cool. The bayonet is on the top. I thought only the French did that.

Because having the bayonet on the shoulder part of the gun is really smart?

...

Oh wait you mean on the top of the barrel.

Hilarious!  However, to answer the question: no, the bayonet is supposed to be on the side.  But it doesn't really fit on right, so it'll have to be over-barrel unless I file down something.

A Mosin-Nagant 91/30, made in 1944 in Russia, sold on surplus in a Texas sporting goods store.

It's a very nice gun.

Nice. Though I'd prefer a good M44 (For those who don't know: A carbine version of the Mosin), since the bayonet on that is spring loaded and the gun is shorter and easier to handle indoors. :D

someone has to make a MMO zombie survival game

I read this and decided to try to make a forum game. If anyone has any insight as to how exactly to make it fun, please share here.

I say shotgun, just in case a bullet to the head doesn't work a half-decent shot to the leg should keep even the most determinedly animate corpse from catching me. And unlike most other limb-removers, it is pretty safe to use at close range.

A shotgun isn't all that likely to remove the limb unless it's particularly vulnerable anyway.  However, you might want to take out the kneecap, because if you tear that up, the leg will be essentially useless for movement.  If we're operating with zombies that don't die from headshots, you've also got other problems.

You know, I think Shaun of the Dead had the right idea: try to blend in with the zombies. Because of this, I'm preparing for zombie apocalypse by stashing marijuana. It gives me red yes, makes me move slowly and I bet I could even enjoy eating raw human brains if I got a bad enough case of munchies.

Okay...first of all, zombies eat human flesh. Not just this brains nonsense. Yes, I freaking hated those ...of the living dead movies. You know. The stupid ones where the zombies could talk and could only be killed by lightning or some shit.

Second of all, if your willing to eat other humans, you might as well just let the zombies bite you and turn into a zombie yourself.

Third of all, you can't blend in with zombies, because they would have to rely on other senses like scent to distinguish rotting from nonrotting flesh. Otherwise zombies would attack other zombies, and we all know this doesn't happen.

AND LASTLY...uh...huh. No more ammo here.
