I was thinking jack an AH-64 apache or steal an m1a1 abrams.

(m1a1 will be alot easier to get fuel for, but then again hellfire missiles are nice.)

Or just build a shelter on a bunch of cliffs so zombies can't get up to you; essentially flying without bothering with lift.

The problem with every "out-of-reach" solution is supply and sustainability. Either you must be totally self-sufficient or you must be able to resupply, and resupplying means danger.

The problem with zombies is that there is no perfect defense. We went over most of the types of zombies earlier in this thread and declared them rather trivial. How about necromorphs? (Dead Space, The Thing)

How would you survive those?

Huh? Oh, the cutter. I think the lasers were just targetting accessories, and it cuts with projected plasma. You'll notice the Line Gun is just a wider version of the same thing, with the same targetting system. I'll go shoot some glass in the game and see if I get 3 melted spots or a melted line.

Did anyone beat that game on Hard or Impossible without dying? Or even Normal for that matter? You'd be out of your league even with the best armaments, and that without the fact that you could take piercing hits in the game without being infected.

Since I have nothing else to do and I don't wan to read through this stuff...

All Zombie Scenarios
-Procure an M14A1 Battle Rifle or just an M14. M16A4 is satisfiable enough though.
-Get a helluva lot of .308 Winchesters or 7.62x51mm NATO rounds. And at least one M14 Magazine.
In the event of M16: A bunch of 5.56 NATOs and at least one magazine.
-Gas Mask/Balaclava.
-2 loyal friends that I won't be hesitated to shoot.
-Crowbar/Military grade Tomahawk.

All the above should be pretty easy due to the fact that a Marine Base is within 2 miles. And friends only live blocks away.

Undead Zombie scenario.
-Attempt to hold out on my houses roof/on top of the sheds out back.
-If the above fails, hoof it to Baja California, which is several miles away due to living in San Diego.
-Matches and gasoline.

Infected fast running zombies (28 Days later stuff)
-Get in the Toyota truck in my driveway and attempt to drive to the Colorado River
-Or just hide out in rural mexico.

Doom Zombies (Demonically Possessed)
-Body Armor
-Simply Kill Everything while holding a holy object on your person.

All Purpose Plans
-Head to Anchorage or Juneau.
-Mexico
-Suicide
-Roadtrip
-Move to Russia. ("In America, Zombies Eat You. In Soviet Russia, You Eat Zombies")

I wouldn't go to something impossible like steal a tank, take a plane, or steal a huge ship.
Tanks would eventually get overwhelmed, I don't know jack about piloting a plane or a tank, and a damn ship is too much.

Here is a question, what would you do after a zombie apocalypse?

Don't forget about exposure when you talk about living on the roof. Even if you have a flat roof you need some form of shelter from the elements, and a source of food and water.

At least you're smart enough to use a gun :-P
You're a mile ahead of a lot of forumites!

There is already like 3 tents in my house and a over 75 boxes filled with books. Those could work as improvised bricks. There is also helluva lot of tarp.

Sounds legit. While you're driving away from home to your nearest military base for armament, why don't you just stay there? It's undoubtedly more secure, and populated by trained soldiers!

And filled with Helluva lot of refugees. Eventually they'll probably get infected from the inside.

Maybe. But you can depend on government aid and armed professionals! Locked doors, tons of security measures, and the most informed people with the most sophisticated and dependable power systems and communication systems.

Building an airship wouldn't keep your safe. It's not only humans who can be infected but animals likes birds too.

I would like to see anything zombified attempt something so coordinated as flight! The slightest rot would ground them.

They'd have to be necromorphs :)
