[39any]Bridge Drowns Those Underneath

While it's (IIRC) intended behavior for water to drown people if it's 7/7 and there's a roof above it...
The way the sides of these bridges look, they appear to be either suspension bridges or truss bridges.  The latter seems more likely.  In either case, however, the bridge's bed (the part you walk on) would not be directly touching the water and capable of drowning a person trying to go underneath.
No save should be necessary, as all you need is a swimmer and a bridge to replicate this...
If I'm not mistaken, this also drowns fish...

The carp is probably "drowning" in the low-water/high-air tiles at the edge of the map where the river/stream/brook transitions off the map. The water flow tends to pull them in that direction, and DF does say they're "drowning" when they're in a low-water area.

I've noticed issues with ceilings and drowning in adventure mode. Does a bridge create a ceiling? If so, then these are probably related.

For example, swim in a river and you're fine. Swim under a "brook" tile in a channelled out brook and risk death (particularly if you were stunned and then swam underneath the tile, even if you move back to where you fell in or you aren't stunned)

Floor on z+1 = Ceiling on z-0.
The floor of the bridge is directly on top of the water, which should not be.

The problem is, however, that, after you said that, I saw the corpses.  Directly underneath the bridge.  Not so easy to be on top of the transition there...
(For the record, I know about the low amounts of water thing.  I also know about how adding a second layer of water will kill the fish on the lower layer because 7/7 + 1/7 or more = "Ceiling")
The problem here is that the bridge is sitting on top of the water and preventing air from reaching the tile below, which isn't all that realistic.
A dock, maybe, but not a bridge.
