Unless I'm misreading something it seems like it should be "...tell us what you think."

Maybe Toady One just has a low opinion of the average intelligence of an internet user.  So the ones who actually think should speak up and be noticed.

Tunnels are a cool idea.  But it's gonna be funny when you are walking around in a tunnel and you come across exposed diamonds or platinum nuggets something.  I guess there needs to be something in place to prevent this? :)

Heck with diamonds and platinum, did anyone else notice this from Toady's tunnel pic?

The king arrives, disguised as a road crew worker.

Would be interesting to see what would happen if it actually got breached during worldgen.

Player: Can you tell me about the surroundings?
Miner: There is a road going through the Hairy Hills of Bald Hammering to the north. The road leads to Hell.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

I can imagine it now - all the !!HFS!!s get free and go to the goblin demon lord and try to trash his place

"oh don't you come over here to my place, you remember what happened last time you trashed my place you went down under the mountain!"

The above (including bbcode) neatly weighs in at 255 characters. Fallout meets DF

One thing I've always liked about reading dev_now, is that the quality of writing is very high. The latest update is no exception. :)

Also I like designating multiple constructions via a rectangle.

I've hand-made some little presents today, like being able to place multiple constructions via rectangles,

I am so very, very happy. I have been longing for these features for a long time. *sniffle* Thank you Toady.

Yeah those news were indeed long-awaited. Even just the mass dumping + rectangular construction equals epic win. I guess the only drawback here is that in spite of all the days of consecutive working, the next version still couldn't be completed before the month's end...

Oh well. This week will be hard, but we will endure! I'll go add [STOUT] to humans and restart the universe...

Awesome update...what is this 'hide', though? I assume like being able to hide Engravings or what?

I think it's like "Hide useless stuff lying on the floor that I can't be bothered to take away". I don't see that being nearly as useful as dumping, but I guess it can't hurt.

I suppose all the folks who don't have the time, space or patience to clear all the loose rock from their fortresses will find that useful.

Of course they could just mass-dump it all as well.
