Dwarf Fortress: Repercussions of Evil.
« on: July 18, 2008, 12:11:52 pm »

Urist Stalgost waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were demons in the fortress. He didn't see them, but had expected them now for years. His warnings to Cernel Lebes were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway.
Urist was a hammerdwarf for fourteen years. When he was young he watched the !!narrow cave spider silk shirt!! and he said to dad "I want to be on the fortress guard daddy."
Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY DEMONS"
There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the mountain hall fortress of the UAC he knew there were demons.
"This is Lebes" the radio crackered. "You must fight the demons!"
So John gotted his crossbow and blew up the wall.
"HE GOING TO KILL US" said the demons
"I will shoot at him" said the demon and he fired the fire ball. John crossboed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
"No! I must kill the demons" he shouted
The radio said "No, Urist. You are the demons"
And then Urist was a zombie.

I always wonder whether the guy who wrote this (the original) thinks he's a good writer.

The more I read this, the more I start to laugh. Hint: read it slowly so your brain doesn't "autocorrect" all the mistakes. It's much more entertaining that way. "John crossboed at him and tried to blew him up." That just doesn't get old, hahaha!

What the hell is this? It's just so freaking awful. The original too. Where did this even come from?

Peter Chaemara, a canadian who obviously doesn't know English. He has 10 other stories but seems to have stopped writing. Though he has a website straight from the 90s.

I wish he would write again, though. He's one of the most memorable modern writers, right up there with Aaron Rayburn. Is anyone brave enough to buy his e-book?

Then there's the awesome reading of it. There are loads of readings of it on YTMND, but this is the best. It has sound effects.

I just realized that I know way too much about Peter Chaemara.

This is still pretty funny, nothing beats the original though.

Well darn, and here I thought it was another squirrelking beauty.  Still thought, I suppose he's a good/bad/ugly enough writer to suffice until SK picks up again.

Speaking of squirrelking, I feel the need to provide this link for all those who have not yet seen it.  I think it is a brilliant interpretation of squirrelking's work, and it was carried out with impeccable timing and comedic sense.

Ah, the stuff that comes from fanfic...

One of the few demotivational posters that don't fail is based off a screenshot of that with the text something like, "AWESOME, It's possible to be so bad that you're good."

I always liked this reading http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBQIx5jiTsg.

I think that guy who wrote this is either a severely handicapped person, or an awesome fake.
