oh ok, but after that. is it keldor's turn and off the list, or you in between?

and one more thing, maybe it would be cool if your new dwarf would be your "son" :P kel junior

New question! If I were to remove elves [INTELLIGENT] tag in the raws, would it work?

uhm if you read carefully you might notice some dead marksdwarves...

but i made a mess of our "administration".
maybe some marksdwarves have become wrestlers. look in their skills who are best with crossbows and arm them with crossbows again. i'm sorry i was in a rush back then.

Captain Affys Log 1055

1st Granite
So it has happened again. The leadership of the fortress has been handed down to me since none of the other dwarves wanted it.
Still it could be worse, we could have gotten an elf to take controll here like the goblins.
We have not found any metalic ores yet, and it seems like the other leaders didn't do any excavating while they wherein controll, so it seems like it is goingto be me who does the excavating again.
Even worse, hte first squad of marksdwarves has been disbanded without my permission. I have now drafted a new group of dwarves and fitted them with crossbows and leather armour. Hopefully these dwarves will be a more permanent squad.
The workshop area also needs to be cleaned up. This new excavating project is also going to be the beginning of our new workshop area. My goal for this year is to move all but our agricultural workshops into this area.


4th Granite
As the miners where enlargening our refuse area we struck magnetite, now we only need to get some charcoal or coke and we canstart creating armour for our soldiers.

9th Granite
A battle force of goblin have decided to besiege us today, as we have no real armour to speak of, I am deciding that we will entrench ourselves untill all our military has been given leather armour.

10th Granite
We have struck coal!!! Now all we need is an anvil and our military needs are over.
All the dwarves are now inside the fortress and weshould have the leather armor ready soon.

16th Granite
We have routed the goblin scum, and with no losses on our side. By positioning us right inside our doors we tricked the first squad inside our area, after that we closed their way out an decimated them.
When the rest of the goblins saw that we had crushed one of their groups they decided to run. Glory to the mountainhomes.

17th Granite
I just saw the fortifications on the top- Lay Pewter fortifications? Wooden? Now that we have to little wood.

25th Granite
The kid who had occupied one of our craftsdwarfs shop. Thank the gods we did not get another incident. I still think this place is cursed, but I can not leave my friends. One day we will find a way to dispell it.

26th Granite
Oh no. Now we have become a barony. I cringe just by thinking about all the idiotic items taht the nobles are going to demand from us.
Nobles. Who needs them.

12th Slate
Scratch my earlier comment about not having any incidents. One of our babies drowned today. I will have a new coffin built for it.

14th Felsite
All has been quiet lately so I went out and hunted down some harpies by myself. Nothing feels like sinking your axe into the flesh of these evil creatures. Hopefully this will help to dispell the evil of this place.

24th Felsite
The Workshops has been moved down to the new area now. The ones still at the entrance area has been moved to better locations near the farms.
For the next season I will try to move the stockpiles to better locations so that the entrance isn't as cluttered as it is now.

I know I'm not the leader, but could you mine out some room for a new food stockpile? I don't like it how our meeting area is so cramped, it items get worn down from dwarves stepping on them.

There shall be three new food stockpiles, One for plants near the farms, one for prepared food near he dinner hall I am planning, and the booze stockpile which will be in the same room. Hopefully I will be able to do it all, and create enough beds and stuff for the nobles.

Also, in case you have not noticed, we have rubies, which are quite valuable in the bedrooms. Consider mining those out and rebuilding the walls with stone.
