Do NPC murders only occur during world gen?

For that matter, if a player "murders" someone would it be listed as such in the legends?

I've heard reports of people embarking on a goblin fortress and the inhabitants killing each other from time to time. As for the murdering player, not sure.

I just tried this a couple different ways trying to get a murder-update in the legends and I don't think it's possible at this point. Meaning that goblins murdering their friends probably don't get this murder-update after world gen finishes either.

I just tried murdering my companions, one thing I hadn't tried yet, some were members of the local friendly goblin civ, and some were members of my human civ, and some were members of a friendly human civ. It never gave me credit for "murdering", just striking down.

I guess that's a pretty roundabout way of saying "I have no clue".
