Heh, great. The poor will only afford green glass eyes. They'll look like Garret. :D

Yes, but are you seriously suggesting a prosthetic neck? Because that would be awesome.

Well, the prosthetic limbs was merely an example to show why it's realistic to have creatures fully recover from severed limbs (without actually regrowing the limb obviously). A prosthetic neck would be awesome though, especially if it was able to spin right around.

I hope you don't mean Pehov's Garret, as far as I remember he was OK =).
Thief's Garret, however, had an awesome eye.

It's always amusing to wander into a new town, take a single step, and then receive a message about the mayor losing his grip on his left boot and sock and falling over.  The game still apparently equips world gen creatures with appropriate gear even when they don't have a limb to wear it, resulting in lots of "I just realized my arm's off, whoops there goes my glove and shield" incidents. I once wandered into a town where I got two screens full of stun messages, but nobody seemed to have been damaged or wounded when I talked to them.

My favorite anecdote regarding world gen creatures not realizing something is wrong with them is when I tried to play a race of sharkpups (sharks mixed with puppies that walk on land). There was a bit of an... oversight in their creation. After hundreds of years of expansion and dominion over the lands, I started a sharkpup adventurer, and it went a little something like this:

Stakud Cattenhob, Adventurer: "My friends and family, I bid you farewell. I am off to make my fortunes in this world and bring glory to our mountain home!"
Shorast Fashadil, Peasant: "Stakud, wait!"
Stakud: "Yes, Shorast?"
Shorast: "I just realized something. Don't we need water to breathe?"
Stakud: "..."
Shorast: "..."

The reign of the sharkpup came to a very abrupt and very Wile E. Coyote end.

Hmm, prosthetic limbs could maybe be enhanced by mechanics?
Imagine a steel arm with fulcrums and levers, so if you tilt it this way, you can make the hand grip.

Heh, dwarves could get skill in using weighted arms in battle.

I think there's a powergoal for that, "Meet the cyberfist" or something like that. Or maybe it was made up. I saw it in someone's sig.
