I've recruited a child

I was talking to a prisoner, and for the lulz I decided to try and recruit her. She accepted, turning into a child. A four year old child.

This is quite a responsibility. I'm not sure what legal ramifications present themselves if her torso gets caved in.

yeah, i found out that the two prisoners i recruited were both children, one got torn to bits in the night by a cougar before i could find her, the other was eaten by a giant rat,   I later managed to kill a nightwing with the character before having my throat torn out by a lucky shot from a wolf.

The nightwing fight was pretty funny, i threw the severed leg of one of my underage companions at it and mangled its leg, then, on my first swing of my axe i got it lodged in his other leg.  I twisted for well over 100 turns to no avail, when the nightwing finally managed to land a bite, i then kited it around, throwing rocks at it until i managed to hit it again with my companion's leg, which caused it to explode in gore.

I'd say the best thing to do would be to retire the character, wait twenty game years, come back, recruit the prisoner, and wreak bloody revenge!

So, you think you're irresponsible?  Check out this dragon slaying party, after a recruitment drive at a Goblin Tower in 39a:

The rest of the fight was kind of boring.  The dragon gave into pain shortly afterward and everyone wailed on it until it died.  I didn't really get any attacks in, since I was too busy cowardly cleverly maneuvering through the smoke and burning foliage to get to a good vantage point to toss rocks at it.

At any rate, children prisoners:  the new drunks.

My adventurer, a merciless slayer of cities currently has nineteen kids. Some of them are actually pretty scary. IIRC while rescuing them, one of them punched Batman in the face and gored it. And another one got jumped by a cougar and knocked the cougar over. Maybe the goblins had been fattening him up to eat.
