Xfire is an instant messaging program made specifically for use with games.  I automatically detects all the games on your system, provided they are listed on the exclusive Xfire games list.  It will then let all your "friends" (that word is being bastardized nowadays) know what game you're playing.  It will also automatically download updates for all your games.  Regardless of whether you want them or not.

It's supposed to be able to work inside of any game, but it is notorious for screwing up games on whatever computer it happens to be installed on.  Someone managed to convince me to download it on a computer so he could talk with me when I didn't have my standard rig.

Luckily for me, it can't detect any of the games I've got on that computer.

Zac! You know Iq and hellkor? Awesome :D. I know both of them too! Hellkor probably doesn't remember me though.. however I do see him in servers from time to time. And I almost never see Iq, but I do chat with him on msn now and them :P. What kind of stuff do you play in soldat? I myself play on climb and trenchwars servers.

*on topic* That's a lot of deaths for 14 years in.

Well,ehm... Zac,I suggest making a 'my icons' folder on the desktop and dumping all but the most used icons on your desktop into it.

I have 3 icons on my desktop because Windows won't let me remove them (so they are hidden).  I use a shrunken version of the Quick Launch and run all my most used apps from that menu.  I never really look in the Start Menu anymore.
