Untouchable designations when "wet!"
« on: July 16, 2008, 07:44:55 am »

(referring to signs cleaners put up when mopping smooth floors)

I drained a pond from below using a ramp and had a d-stair designated for digging, also designated the ramp to be [z] dug out.
Now the designations are ignored by the miners and I cannot de-dessignate using d-x (or d-n nor q-x),
I think it may have something todo with the water of 4 sitting next to it.

situation:

Code: [Select]
o= o
IdvI
 ^4I
o==o

d=a designation to dig downwardstairs
^/V ramps, downward ramp is designated for [d-z] removal
o/=/I walls
4/7 water over open tile, level below is a small cistern of 7/7.

Wait, so there's a 4 water that isn't even flowing into adjacent squares?

Also, downward ramps marked [d][z] aren't removed, as you have to remove the LOWER half.

It was a bit of a mess, with an up ramp a  downramp and several dig stairs designations to expand the hollow.
Only up-ramps can be [z] designated, so that would not be a problem.
Problem was: they were designated before getting wet (or during) and now cannot be un-designated.

To answer toady: there is (was) water in the tiles adjacent the 4/7 tile, hence the 'wet'.
