As is standard, in this thread we praise Toady.
« on: July 15, 2008, 03:35:15 pm »

To keep it short and simple - I'd like to thank Toady for his hard work in fixing issues. Other developers may sit on problems as large as these for weeks, but Toady's transparent nature regarding issues is a breathe of fresh air.

In short. Thanks Toady. We all appreciate it.

(Especially mass designate)

Did you just post a bunch of vegi-dicks on my board?  I've been trying to combat forum devolution a bit, and that involves fewer vegi-dicks!

I was going to make a topic like this, but for thanks for some of the small features added particularly. Thanks for adding a gender-symbol next to the names of characters when you talk to them in Adventurer mode, Toady! I don't think this was in the last version, at least.

Also, thanks for making elves awesome.

Something just happened to my PC...I think it died.  :'(
On my gaming-saturday, just at shops-closingtime.

So that donation I promised will take a little while longer, if all went well, the money is already been confiscated  by paypal, so that is reserved, 't will only take a while longer to get to bay12.
So much for my material praise.

My motherboard diagnosis leds are little help, indicating ínitialising video interface then going into an undocumented configuration that might indicate 'testing base+ext memory'.

Then it hangs there, before the memory is actually checked or even BIOS can boot up.

So I'm suspecting my 1-motherboard, 2-CPU, 3-grafixcard, 4-memory.

---
If anyone feels inclined to offer advice, I'd be gratefull to post my hardware otherwise I'd rather not bother. :p
---
edit:kay. as I hoped it is a memorybar that is corrupting my bootup. not my silent psu, not my atix800, nor my mobo. phew.
was thinking of upgrading to 2GBs of RAM anyhow. currently running on a single bar of my twinned RAM...hopefully I can get a replacement for it.

I'll check my account whether paypal is ready to do my bidding.
